Poor things

I discovered this book reading about the movie in some friends comments. I didn't like the movie too much (saw it on a plane, so maybe it's that) but the novel promises to be more working on the fact that what we saw in the movie, and the tale, is a man fantasy. I'm also intrigued by some resonance with The Onion Eaters, which might completely not there once I read it, but worth trying.
